I had a Robotwist jar opener that I liked so we bought another one last year when it pooped out. We actually don't use it much but when it worked it performed well. Until yesterday when it decided to stop as I was trying to open a new jar of pickels. However before it stopped, it had grasped onto the jar. So I can't open the pickel jar with a robotwist hermetically sealed on top of it. I also put in new batteries, it still didn't work. When I called Granitstone, the "friendly" customer service rep first looked on Google and told me to run hot water over the jar, I answered "you mean over the robotwist over the jar." She rethought-did you try to twist of off, well yes I did since its blocking me from my pickels-"Oh no shouldn't have done that...tell you what, I'll give you a refund if you show me the receipt and it's under a year old." Couldn't do that, and what about the cost of the pickels?
Needless to say I do not recommend this product nor did I appreciate the answers of the customer service department. BTW there IS no widget on the customer service page to get "help" with a product...you have to call [****].
