We love these wooden two-piece pizza peels! We sprinkle some course corn meal on the peels, then we shape the pizza dough right on the wooden peels. We position the two piece peels on the counter right up against each other to form a 12" surface for the dough. Then we place the rolled out dough on the peels, add our desired toppings and then easily slide the pizza off the two peels and onto our preheated pizza stone. Before purchasing the Granitestone peels, we tried using a one-piece pizza peel and we found it much harder to slide the pizza onto our pizza stone this way. Having the convenience of the split pizza peels makes it so much easier to place the dough onto the hot stone.
