Can I vacuum seal soups, stews or marinades without making a mess?
Yes. The upright design keeps liquids at the bottom of the bag while it seals, so you can seal soups, sauces, marinades and wet leftovers without spills, and without freezing them first.
Can I seal both dry and moist foods?
Yes. Use Dry for pantry items like nuts, grains and coffee beans, and Moist for marinated meats, fish and juicy fruit for an airtight seal without pulling out the liquid.
How long does vacuum sealing keep food fresh?
Up to 5× longer than ordinary storage. Fresh meat can last 2–3 years in the freezer instead of about 6 months, and refrigerated strawberries up to 10 days instead of 3–4.
Do I need special bags?
InstaSeal works with standard embossed (textured) vacuum sealer bags and rolls, including the 12 pre-cut bags in the box. Smooth flat bags will not seal properly.
Can I seal delicate foods like berries or chips without crushing them?
Yes. The Smart Sensor controls suction and stops before delicate items get compressed. Good for berries, herbs, pastries and snacks.
Is it safe for sous vide or freezer storage?
