Cast Iron Use & Care Instructions

Prior to first use and after each use, wash your cast iron cookware by hand using a small amount of dish soap and warm water, then rinse and dry the pan thoroughly immediately, using a paper towel or any lint-free cloth.

Do not leave the pan to dry by itself. Doing so will cause the cast iron to oxidize.

To season, rub a very light layer of vegetable cooking oil onto the surface of your Granitestone cast iron cookware. Use a paper towel to wipe the surface until no oil residue remains. Your cookware is now ready to be stored or re-used.

Note: For stubborn, stuck-on food, simmer a little water in the pan for 3-5 minutes, then clean as instructed.
